Aside from wanting to work with students, she also enjoys playing soccer. Her excitement to be an assistant at MMS clearly shows each day in the classroom. When she has the opportunity, Cece enjoys designing and making quilts, working in her gardens (flowers and vegetables), cooking and reading. The school has raised thousands of dollars and in 2014, the school raised $11,600. They enjoy swimming, reading together, and park and library visits. And when she wasnât puppy-sitting, she was training for a competitive equestrian career. A third-generation teacher, Deepali Namboothiry has been an integral part of the MMS community since 2002. Every day is a new adventure, an opportunity to teach, and a chance to learn from the children. Previously she sang in Master Singers, and accompanied numerous recitals as a pianist. Ms. Alyson Berg is no stranger to Upper Elementary, spending the majority of her MMS career teaching UE students History and Science.Â. Elaine holds MMS in the highest degree and considers it to be a wonderful school with a staff that is warm and welcoming. Zahra always wanted to be a teacher, and in high school, she submitted lesson plans to the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America competitions, winning gold and silver medals statewide. Her prior educational experience includes teaching environmental science in nature centers, camp settings, and afterschool programs in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan. Micha is from Cushing, Oklahoma, where she spent her entire childhood and graduated from Cushing High School in 2003. He has worked in a variety of educational settings including College for Kids, the Studio Arts and Craft Centre, and the Artist in Residence program at Saint John’s on the Lake. Cheryl is active with her local community and all of her children’s sports teams and clubs. Fun fact! His other passions include wakeboarding and working out. Prior to working at Milwaukee Montessori School, she worked in Environmental Education at various places across the US, including Nature’s Classroom Institute. Alona joined the MMS team in August 2019 as a Children’s House Assistant Teacher. Zahra Hirani was born in the small town of Marion, North Carolina, but grew up right here in Milwaukee. Upon receiving her degree in 2007, she joined MMS full time. She thoroughly enjoyed the rigorous liberal arts curriculum and chose to major in English Literature and Writing Composition. Since joining MMS, Jamie completed the NAMTA/AMI Montessori Orientation to Adolescent Studies. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Karen earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from the UW-Milwaukee in 2001 and was the recipient of the prestigious Logan Travel Scholarship in 2000. In between each year of school, Evan served as Associate Program Director for Camp Timber-Lee in East Troy, WI for nearly 10 years where he managed all musical facets of Summer and the school year, as well as developed, implemented and executed 5 âspecialtyâ art camps that exist today all while being an active musician in the local community. Sarah moved to Milwaukee in 2013 to pursue a career in Art. As a practicing artist, Jaime was commissioned to paint a public large scale outdoor mural in 2017 on Vliet Street in Milwaukee. If not outdoors, you might find her reading, drawing, or completing the occasional jigsaw puzzle. On the weekends, Georgia enjoys painting, biking, snowboarding, rock climbing, yoga, kayaking, flying kites, organizing, poker, board games, cook-outs, and lazy afternoons sipping espresso. An MMS Alum, Miranda Lyles attends the University of California – Davis. While completing her undergraduate degree, she worked at multiple Whitewater schools within the district; in which, she served as a teacherâs aid and tutor for elementary-aged children. Holly Sienza came to Milwaukee Montessori School in Spring 2020 to fill the role of the Business Assistant. She has held several accounting/finance roles that have taken her around the world. Once she started a family, she made the decision to become a Special Education teacher. After working as a teacher for 6 years, she decided to go back into an accounting role. One of the reasons Cece enjoys working at MMS is the feeling of community and working closely with parents, students, and staff which continues to bring new experiences every day. She also spent most of her professional career working for Alverno College as the Assistant to the Dean of Students and working with student leaders. At the time of this update, she’s been in our Toddler Program for over 30 years! Jessica enjoys watching and learning how children learn and develop. Most recently, Courtney comes to MMS after working as a Special Education Paraprofessional, primarily with 4K-1st grade students. Outside of school Chris loves to water ski and is an active member of the Pewaukee Ski Team. Jon has enjoyed coaching and teaching physical education at Milwaukee Montessori School since 2003. She later moved to, and worked in, the bustling heart of downtown Milwaukee, and has now happily rejoined suburban life in the city of West Allis. In 2016 she volunteered at La Causa Crisis Nursery and the year prior she co-coached her younger sisterâs basketball team. Previously, Mrs. Repikova worked in early learning programs in the New Berlin School District and a daycare program in Elm Grove. After successfully graduating from Milwaukee High School of the Arts, Evan attended the Conservatory Program at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI., under the direction of Matthew Michelic of the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra.
