A straight person pondering buying this shouldn't worry they won't get the jokes, etc, as they definately will, and I think that was maybe my problem with it - the gay humour was just a bit too obvious and a bit too stereotypical of the way gay people are from a heterosexual point of view, rather than joking about gay stereotypes that the gay community actually have.
